⚠️ Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please read this page carefully before requesting deletion.

How to Request Account Deletion

Send a Deletion Request
Email us at healletgo@proton.me with the subject line "Account Deletion Request"

Include Your Account Information
In your email, please provide:

The email address associated with your Heal account
Any additional information that helps us identify your account (e.g., display name)
Reason for deletion (optional but appreciated for improving our service)

Verify Your Identity
For security purposes, we may ask you to verify your identity by:

Responding from the email address associated with your account
Providing additional verification information if needed

Wait for Confirmation
We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email when your account has been deleted.

            💡 Alternative: If you're experiencing issues with the app or have concerns about privacy, please contact us first. We may be able to address your concerns without deleting your account.
        

What Data Gets Deleted

When you request account deletion, we permanently remove the following data from our systems:

What Data May Be Retained

In certain circumstances, we may retain limited data even after account deletion:

Data Type	Retention Reason	Retention Period
Aggregated Analytics	Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you (e.g., "Number of users who completed onboarding")	Indefinitely (anonymized)
Legal & Compliance Records	Data required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or to resolve disputes. This may include transaction records, abuse reports, or legal correspondence.	As required by law (typically 3-7 years)
Backup Systems	Your data may remain in backup systems for a limited time due to our disaster recovery procedures.	Up to 90 days
Technical Logs	Server logs containing anonymized technical information (IP addresses, error logs) for security and system maintenance.	Up to 90 days

What Happens After Deletion

Once your account is deleted:

✗ You will no longer be able to access the Heal app with your deleted account
✗ All your conversations and healing profile will be permanently lost
✗ Any active premium subscription will remain active until its expiration (cancel separately through the app store)
✗ You will not be able to recover any data after deletion is complete
✓ You can create a new account with the same email address after deletion is complete

Before You Delete Your Account

Consider these alternatives:

Take a break: Simply uninstall the app without deleting your account. Your data will remain if you decide to return.
Export your data: Contact us to request a copy of your personal data before deletion.
Cancel subscription: If cost is a concern, you can cancel your premium subscription while keeping your account.
Privacy settings: Review your privacy settings or clear specific data without deleting everything.
